The conference follows a long tradition of schools and workshops on Geometric Group Theory and beyond in the Swiss Alps. The 2023 edition will be devoted to the interplay of three subjects: dynamics of group actions, spectra of operators on graphs, automata theory. These different aspects make the topic of the workshop attractive to the PhD students studying not only geometric group theory, but also low dimensional topology and metric geometry, as well as combinatorics -- various directions of research pursued at the schools affiliated with CUSO. Indeed, we hope to be able to attract even more CUSO participants than stipulated in the proposal. The interdisciplinary nature of the workshop requires novel pedagogical methods. We are going to keep the traditional form of minicourses, but we plan to make them transversal across different subjects, so as each minicourse could reflect different ways to attack a certain problem. This explains the bigger than usual number of intervenants: indeed, the lectures inside the same minicourse will be given by different specialists offering each their own prospective. Informal discussions, turtorials for PhD students and research work in groups are also planned.
