Description

Conference from 19 to 23 August 2019 Hamiltonian dynamics has always had strong interrelations to other fields, with fertilizations in both directions. This workshop brings together specialists working on various crossroads through Hamiltonian dynamics. A particular emphasis will be on connections with spectral theory of Schrödinger operators and smooth ergodic theory. Summer school from 26 to 30 August 2019 The school will focus on existence and multiplicity problems of closed orbits in autonomous and time-periodic Hamiltonian systems. Specifically, we will look at special orbits in the restricted 3-body problem, orbit growth and topological entropy, systolic inequalities, fixed point problems in C^0 Hamiltonian systems, and knotted vortex lines in topological fluid mechanics.
