Mini course during Fall Meeting of the SMS

The Fall Meeting of the Swiss Mathematical Society (SMS) is a traditional conference/meeting which takes place every year. The Fall Meeting 2018 will be in the form of a conference, taking place at the University of Bern. Tentatively there will be 10 speakers at the Fall Meeting 2018, all of which are financed by the SMS and the ScNat. See the supporting document sent by email. This CUSO proposal is for an additional minicourse during the Fall Meeting 2018, mostly aimed at CUSO PhD students, to present an active area of research to the PhD students. The aim of the minicourse is to give an introduction to Compact and reductive group actions on affine algebraic varieties and Stein manifolds.
