Description

The workshop consists of 2 mini-courses each of 3 hours (2 x 90 minutes) given in parallel with a conference on this subject from 19-23 June

These two courses will introduce some aspects of Gemetric Spectral Theory with a focus on the relation between this subject and two other topics: geometry of groups and PDE.

The first course will be delivered by Norbert Peyerimhoff (Durham). It will relate some aspects of spectral theory and geometry of groups and will take place on Monday. Please see the abstract:

The second course will be delivered by Alessandro Savo (Sapienza, Roma). It will link some aspects of spectral theory to PDE and will take place on Monday and Tuesday. Please see the abstract:

Doctoral students who are interested in participating in the mini-courses should subscribe before May 15 on the website of the doctoral program math.cuso.ch. Participation is free of charge for CUSO doctoral students.
