Practical Information

The fourteenth Graduate Colloquium will take place at EPFL on Thursday February 12th and Friday February 13th in room ELA 2. Here is a detailed map with directions from the metro station.

Description

The event consists of a series of talk given by PhD students in mathematics for PhD students. They provide an opportunity for them to get an exposure to scientific communication in a non-competitive or conference environment. As in previous years, we are happy that Birkhaüser is sponsoring a prize for the best talk. We will have a guest speaker, Pr. Jacques Sesiano, on Thursday evening. Note that his lecture, entitled "Partage par transvasements", will be given in French.

Registration

The deadline for registration was February 3, 2015.

Talks

The organizing committee encourages Ph.D. students from all participating universities to present their work and field of research by giving a talk, the duration of which can be either 20 minutes or 45 minutes. The format is meant to encourage expository presentations as well as research talks. Speakers should register on the Google form as well as for the event on the CUSO website.
